Afraid of Stairs was formed in the
mind of Pontus Wallgren March-03 and sometime later the band's
first song, Not Today, was recorded. We were mazed by this song
and immediately signed the band to Labrador Records and put the
demo version of this song on our site. The feedback from visitors
(including the Swedish magazine Sonic which wrote an article about
the band just because they loved the song so much) was overwhelming. Afraid of Stairs is Pontus Wallgren and Max
Sjöholm (with friends). They'll release their debut 7"
single in October 2003 and we hope they'll follow it up with an
album in the future. For those of you who haven't heard the band;
it's distinct pop songs drowned in reverb and fuzzy guitars. A
bit like pop used to sound around 88-92 or something.
